Let’s plan our own hockey league
or a 59 Day Tournament.
( 59 Days x 3 games per day x 2 Teams per game = 354 Games)
The winners of these 354 games move to Quarter Finals = 177 Games
The Winners of these 177 Games move to Semi Finals = 88 Games.
We can have up 3 games per day at one rink.
We will run it from January 24, 2027. to March 27, 2027.
Then we will have the Playoffs
6 Teams – Best out of 5 Games.
That should just as easy as setting up a Tournament,
We will have our own MGM HL Cup
With big prizes to all members of the last 2 teams standing.
All teams will have to pay the costs of the Trips & Accommodations, however.
We will throw in all the Entertainment passes, food etc.
We will have to determine the qualifications for all teams. (non – professional)

MOTORCOACH TRANSPORTATION WITH GREAT INCENTATIVES ARE AVAILABLE TO ANY TEAM/TOWN THAT WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THEM.
UP TO 240 TEAMS OF 4 MONTHS OF EXCITING HOCKEY PROVIDED BY MUSIC CITY MANITOBA.
A NUMBER OF HOCKEY ARENAS THROUGHOUT MANITOBA MAY BE ASKED TO HOST OUR TOURNAMENT.

Hockey is Canada’s official national winter sport and perhaps its greatest contribution to world sport. Canada is considered the birthplace of ice hockey, and Canadians generally regard the sport as their own. Over the last century, Canadian men, women, and children have passionately participated in hockey at all levels and have avidly watched the sport with great interest nationwide. One could argue that hockey is the sport that has united Canadians the most, especially in international competitions. Canadian players form the backbone of many teams in the National Hockey League and overseas leagues, and Canadian men and women have had considerable success in international competition.

Teams will be seeded based on the preliminary season standings.
Top 4 teams will have home ice advantage.

This round is a best of 5 series.
Winners advance to next round.
2nd Round of Playoffs (Semi Finals)
Teams will be seeded based on regular season standings.
Top 2 teams will have home ice advantage.
Team 1 vs 4
Team 2 vs 3
This round is a best of 7 series.
Winners advance to next round.
3rd Round of Playoffs (League Championship)
Teams will be seeded based on regular season standings.
Top team will have home ice advantage.
Team 1 vs 2
This round is a best of 7 series.
As all the games will be played in one Arena, every team will have home ice advantage.
THE ACTUAL PRIZE POOL IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES INVOLVED IN THE TOURNAMENT.
