Lake Tahoe is a freshwater Lake in the Sierra Nevada of the Western United States, straddling the border between California and Nevada. Lake Tahoe is the largest alpine lake in North America. Its depth is 1,645 ft (501 m), making it the second deepest lake in the United States.

It is known for the clarity of its water and the panorama of surrounding mountains on all sides. The area surrounding the lake is also referred to as Lake Tahoe, or simply Tahoe.

Lake Tahoe is a major tourist attraction in both Nevada and California. It is home to winter sports, summer outdoor recreation, and scenery enjoyed throughout the year. Snow and ski resorts are a significant part of the area’s economy and reputation. The Nevada side also offers several lakeside casino resorts, with highways providing year-round access to the entire area.

 Our 2-Hour South Shore Sunset Cruise, leaves the Tahoe Keys Marina and heads east along the famed South Shore of Lake Tahoe.  The South Shore Sunset Cruise is a totally unique way to view and experience the many iconic landmarks of South Lake Tahoe.  One of the first sights along the cruise is meadow and marsh that make up the Truckee River wildlife sanctuary.  A famous landmark on the South Shore that’s seen from all areas of the lake is the world famous Gunbarrell ski run at Heavenly Mountain Resort.  The ski run is cut directly into the side of the mountain and boasts the longest mogul run on the West Coast. Farther along the cruise, you’ll get dramatic views of the Stateline corridor and the high-rise casino buildings. The cruise also passes world-renowned Edgewood Golf Course (host to the American Century Celebrity Golf Tournament) where you’ll see the waterside greens and spectacular architecture of the clubhouse. Our final destination is the land mass known as “Round Hill,” a unique geological feature on the South Shore. The sunset views from this shore our simply unforgettable as you take-in panoramic views of the jagged mountain peaks of Tahoe’s West Shore.

DAY 1 WINNIPEG – MILES CITY, MT.
The journey begins as we depart Winnipeg early in the morning, picking up passengers along the route. Settle in and enjoy the drive as we make our way westward. Our first stop for the night is Swift Current, Saskatchewan, where we will stay at the Holiday Inn Swift Current.
 
DAY 2 MILES CITY – IDAHO FALLS, ID.
Today, we continue westward, enjoying the spectacular scenery of the Canadian Rockies. Travel through rolling prairies before reaching the mountainous terrain of British Columbia. We will overnight at the Best Western Plus in Fernie, a picturesque ski resort town nestled in the Rockies.
 
DAY 3  IDAHO FALLS – LAKE TAHOE, CA. 
Leaving Idaho Falls behind, we embark on a scenic drive through the mountains before descending into the XXXXXXXXXXX, where endless XXXXXXX and XXXXXXXX greet us. We arrive in Lake Tahoe by early evening and check in at the XXXXXXX This centrally located home base puts us in the heart of downtown, with boutique shops, charming cafés, and the stunning Lake Tahoe within walking distance.
 
DAY 4 KELOWNA & SURROUNDING AREA
Enjoy a free morning to explore downtown Kelowna at your leisure. Take a stroll along the waterfront, visit the BC Wine Museum, or relax at a local café. Later, we head to Frind Estate Winery, one of Canada’s most unique lakefront wineries, where we will enjoy a wine tasting followed by a delicious pizza lunch with stunning vineyard views. We will visit a second winery (TBD) on this day before returning to Kelowna.
 
DAY 5 KELOWNA – SUMMERLAND – NARAMATA BENCH – KELOWNA
A day of exploration and indulgence begins with a visit to Bliss Bakery (cost on own), a beloved local café known for its fresh-baked pastries and lakefront location. After a relaxing morning, we head to Summerland Sweets, where you’ll find a delightful selection of fruit preserves, syrups, and treats made from locally grown Okanagan fruit. Lunch awaits at Zia’s in Summerland, a charming stonehouse restaurant serving delicious meals in a cozy atmosphere. Later, we visit the scenic Naramata Bench, with stops at Elephant Island and Deep Roots — two unique wineries known for their beautiful views and excellent tastings.
 
DAY 6 KELOWNA – FREE DAY & SUNSET DINNER CRUISE
This day is yours to relax and explore Kelowna at your own pace. Whether you prefer lounging at the hotel, golfing, or visiting local attractions, the day is open for you to enjoy however you choose. In the evening, we gather for a memorable farewell experience—a Sunset Dinner Cruise on Okanagan Lake. As we dine, soak in the panoramic views of the lake and the surrounding mountains while watching the sunset over the water, making for the perfect ending to our time in the Okanagan.
 
DAY 7 KELOWNA – VERNON – KELOWNA
Today, we visit Davison Orchards Country Village, where guests will board the Johnny Popper Apple Train for a guided tour through the orchards. Lunch is on your own, but everyone will enjoy apple pie, ice cream, and coffee provided by Fehr-Way Tours. Afterward, explore the country store, bakery, and petting farm before we continue to Planet Bee Honey Farm & Honeymoon Meadery. Learn about honey production, watch live bees at work, and sample a variety of honey and meads before we return to Kelowna for a relaxing evening.
 
DAY 8 KELOWNA – CALGARY, AB
We bid farewell to the Okanagan Valley and begin our return journey, stopping at Gatzke Farmers Market, where you can pick up some fresh produce and local goodies for the road. The drive takes us back through the majestic Rocky Mountains, leading us to Calgary, where we will stay overnight at the Delta Hotel by Marriott Calgary South.
 
DAY 9 CALGARY – MOOSE JAW, SK
Our journey continues eastward as we travel through the foothills and plains toward Moose Jaw. The evening is yours to unwind at Temple Gardens Mineral Spa, where you can soak in the famous geothermal mineral pools and reflect on the wonderful experiences of the past week.
 
DAY 10 MOOSE JAW – WINNIPEG, MB
The final leg of our journey takes us home to Winnipeg. Relax and reminisce with your fellow travelers as we make our way back, filled with wonderful memories of our Okanagan adventure.
