The Mr. Canada Coffee House Network will be the place where all the contestants, will prepare for the Finale of Singsation, at the Music City Manitoba Event Centre, where there will be up to $1,759,600.00 in cash & prizes, brought to you be Music City Manitoba, Mr. Canada Coffee House Network, all affiliates, and sponsors.

This gives every contestant, a venue, equipment, the opportunity, and an audience, to hone their skills and prepare their abilities, any time they want, for the Big Finale. (Exact dates to TBD)

Enter our Singsation Contest for a chance to win an exclusive Mentoring Session with a Singsation Producer and a no-wait live Singsation Priority Audition. 

The rules are as simple as it gets:

  1. Give us your best performance of any 3 songs, and we will video tape it, and upload some of the performances, to YouTube.
  2. Submit your entry by calling 204.482.3490 and we will schedule you to the Mr. Canada’s Coffee House of your choice. link below by March 31, 2023 at 11:50 pm. EST.

Purchase of the Music City Manitoba Gold VIP Card is required to enter the competition.  Early bird entries will receive a Music City Manitoba Denim Jacket. 

Judging criteria:

75% Vocal Performance

25% Originality of Performance

*** Contest entrants must be at least 18 years old to enter.

The live auditions will take place beginning June 15, 2026.  

Each Mr. Canada’s Coffee House will select the winning entrants for their location.

The live performances maybe recorded by video and portions of that video may be used for promotional purposes.

ABOUT

There are thousands of amazing singers in Canada who never get the spotlight or recognition they deserve.

Too many singers/songwriters have been unnoticed and under-appreciated. Singsation is our way to changing all that.

The Preliminary Singsation events will assist those artists who are interested in taking their existing talent to the next level.  The competition will provide Music City Manitoba with the foundation it needs to hone the competitors’ skills and prepare them for a long-term relationship with MCM, if they so choose. 

Singsation will provide them the opportunity to perform as many times as they would like during the preliminary shows at each Mr. Canada Coffee House. (Have to be scheduled)

Music City Manitoba will make available all the Mr. Canada Coffee Houses for the 2026, 2027 competitions, until the company is ready to host the Main Finale of the  Singsation event at the Music City Manitoba Event Centre.

Once MCM has its own building, a $1,000,000.00 prize pool will be made available to those artists/singers/performers who have excelled in the final performances and have demonstrated a willingness to take on a full-time career with Music City Manitoba at the helm.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Thousands of Amazing Singers and from across North America will be invited to participate in this first of many preliminary events, beginning June 15, 2026, culminating into the huge Singsation competitions at the Mr. Canada’s Coffee House Network locations. 

This event is basically an audition for the Grand Finale featuring 100’s of singers, with up to $1,759,600.00 in prize money, and much, much, more. which will be held on the first 12 days of the opening of Music City Manitoba Massive New Venue.

ONE

Every participant and attendee will require a Music City Manitoba VIP Card to participate.

TWO

All participants in this competition must be 18 years of age and over. Male, Females & Seniors Welcome!

THREE

The Song Guaranteed Format simply means that every singer is guaranteed to sing a minimum of 3 songs on the day of their performance. The performance should not exceed 12 minutes.

FOUR

The version of each song should be indicated clearly in the registration form.  All the music will be ready for each contestant when it’s time to perform. This needs to be done as quickly as possible, as it takes time to make all the arrangements. 

FIVE

Some recording tracks could be made available beforehand as a means to assist each contestant in their pre-performance rehearsals.  

SIX

The song choices can be changed up to 90 days prior to the performance without penalty.

SEVEN

Contestants backing tracks can be used, but must be provided following the submission of the registration form.

EIGHT

The singing schedule requires that each contestant have a maximum of 20 minutes on stage, so it is imperative that contestants get on and off the stage as quickly as possible.

NINE

If contestants miss their scheduled date and time, they will be eliminated from the competition.

TEN

The winners will be decided by the number of votes accumulated during these events.  Contestants will be placed according to those points in the preliminary rounds. 

ELEVEN

The top winners will be announced on a monthly basis. Their photos will appear in each Mr. Canada’s Coffee Houses as well as on this website. Those who are not attendance will be contacted.

TWELVE

The actual prize pool is subject to change and is directly proportional to the number of entries and attendees at these preliminary competitions.

The Music City Manitoba Corporation requires that all Singsation contestants purchase a VIP card to participate in the competition. As an added bonus, the VIP Card provides all contestants full access to the auditions and final shows for one year.

The card also includes a 25% discount on all food prepared for us, merchandise, services, trips and a host of other activities for that year. 

This card is non- transferable, and identification may be required when entering, the venues, buses, and trains etc.to match your VIP number.

Each Mr. Canada’s Coffee Houses will seat between 300 – 700 patrons. These Coffee Houses will be the perfect venue to host the Singsation Events. They will be strategically  located throughout North America, so it will be easy for any contestant to make it to one of them, to participate in the preliminary rounds of this competition.

State-of-the-art audio-visual support ensures that every attendee can hear and see events with unobstructed sight lines.

The top 5 Finalists from the Mr. Canada’s Coffee House preliminary competitions in year 1, will be invited to participate in a hour long televised program, as well. And will be hired on yearly salary basis, if they so desire, to perform on a scheduled routine, throughout the following year,

THE ADJUDICATORS

In the Preliminaries each Coffee House should have at least 3 judges chosen at random from the audience.

In the Finals 5 adjudicators will be selected at random from a pool of 9 judges for each day of adjudication.

It is MCM’s intention to invite a number of celebrity judges, including but not exclusively, members of our performers who will be performing at the Music City Manitoba Event Centre.

All adjudicators will have extensive background in music and the entertainment industry.

7 Categories in the Finale: The following are the seven categories or criteria that will be used to evaluate the vocal performances. These may vary by situation, but can be applied to any style of music in any live performance setting.

  1. Stage Presence/Audience Communication
  2. Diction
  3. Intonation
  4. Vocal Quality
  5. Rhythmic Interpretation
  6. Dynamics
  7. Song Choice/Song Prep

THE Singsation competition

The preliminary rounds will all be held a Mr. Canada’s Coffee House Network locations.

A minimum of 3 contestants will be invited to perform per night.

Individuals, Duets & Trios may enter as one contestant.

They will open for the entertainers performing on those nights.

Each contestant will do three tunes per night.

The Mr. Canada Coffee House will choose the best contest for each week, and submit that person information & scores to Music City Manitoba.

The Top Finalists from each Preliminary Promotional Competition, will be automatically entered in the final leg of this huge competition. The Prize Structure for that is as below. 

The First Place Contestant of the Finals will be hired on a yearly basis, beginning on opening night of our venue, if they so desire, to perform on a scheduled basis throughout the following year.

The actual prize pool is subject to change and is directly proportional to the number of entries in the competition.

 

In the preliminaries, if you can’t make your date of performance, it may be possible to reschedule it.

However, in the Finals – any contestant misses their scheduled date and time, they will be eliminated from the competition.

The championship round will place according to the points that the contestant has accumulated in the preliminary, and final rounds.

In the final round, the singers with the most accumulated points will place accordingly in the top ten.
