NEWFOUNDLAND

& LABRADOR

mILE

Current Premier of Newfoundland/Labrador – Tony Wakeman

Newfoundland and Labrador is the easternmost province of Canada, in the country’s Atlantic region. It comprises the island of Newfoundland and the continental region of Labrador, with an area of 405,212 km2 (156,453 sq mi) and a population of 547,910 in 2026. Newfoundland with its neighbouring islands has 94% of the province’s population, with more than half in the Avalon Peninsula. Labrador has a land border with the province of Quebec and a short border with Nunavat on Killing Island. The French overseas collectivity of Saint Pierre and Miquelon lies about 20 km (12 mi) west of the Burin Peninsula.

In 2021, 99.4% of residents reported English as their native language, making Newfoundland and Labrador Canada’s most linguistically homogeneous province. Much of the population is descended from English and Irish settlers, with the majority immigrating from the early 17th century to the late 19th century. St. John’s , the capital and largest city, is Canada’s 22nd-largest census metropolitan area and home to about 40% of the province’s population. St. John’s is the seat of the provincial House of Assembly and its highest court, the Court of Appeal.

Until 1949, the Dominion of Newfoundland was a separate dominion in the British Empire. In 1933, the House of Assembly of the self-governing dominion voted to dissolve itself and to hand over administration of Newfoundland and Labrador to the British-appointed Commission of Government. This followed the suffering caused by the Great Depression and Newfoundland’s participation in the First World War. On March 31, 1949, it became the tenth and most recent province to join the Canadian Confederation as “Newfoundland”. On December 6, 2001, the Constitution of Canada was amended to change the province’s name from “Newfoundland” to “Newfoundland and Labrador”.

NEWFOUNDLAND/LABRADOR MILE EXHIBIT

Lobster & Crab Fishing in Newfoundland & Labrador has been contributing

 to the economy for generations.

We like to pay homage to those fisherman.

We have great respect for what you do. Thank you!

It would be absolutely perfect if each province contributed to this Great Board Walk of Canada,

by sponsoring 1 mile each.

Now, that would be coming together, and meeting in the middle, (of the country).

The Great Wall of Fame

An Animation of the first mile, of The Great Boardwalk to Fame, in The Isle of Wayne,

will be coming soon, showcasing the Stunning Exhibit Areas, of each mile.

These exhibits will be reserved for only those that purchase at least 1 mile of the

 boardwalk.

(Other smaller exhibits, will be available for 1/4 & 1/2 mile, as well).

That should give a good visual insight, as to what they will look like & to give you an idea,

of how we will lay each of them out, on The Great Boardwalk of Manitoba.

We will create an Amazing Display,

100% to scale or bigger.

First we will create a drawing, for their approval, of our last

Manitoba’s 12 premiers (from 1949 to present day)

with  (1 female premier) sitting or standing around, a horse drawn

 carriage,

on the Great Boardwalk to Fame at Music City Manitoba.

The Boardwalk Display will have all the premiers in various poses, in a

 parklike setting, by a lake,

discussing what an excellent idea it is, to construct a lifelong benefit

 on

The Great Boardwalk to Fame, for our province of Manitoba.

This Boardwalk Display, along with up to another 15 Displays, will

draw hundreds of thousands of tourists, just to see them.

Not to mention all displays of the “Manitoba Wildlife”, we intend to

 include along the same route.

These life sized “Boardwalk Displays” will be made exclusively for

 Music City Manitoba by:
